According to Lord Shiva's teachings and the philosophy found in Shaivism, all events and relationships in life are governed by the cosmic law of karma and the divine will. Lord Shiva, as the Supreme Consciousness (Mahadeva), is considered both the destroyer of ignorance and the compassionate guide who steers souls toward spiritual evolution.People come into our lives as part of our karmic journey. Encounters, relationships, and experiences are believed to be orchestrated by the divine to help us learn important lessons, work through past karma, and progress on the path toward moksha (liberation). Shiva’s grace ensures that each soul meets those who can aid in their spiritual growth, self-realization, or the fulfillment of their dharma (life’s duty).
In essence, Lord Shiva allows or "sends" people into our lives as instruments for our transformation, to help us shed attachments, learn compassion, and ultimately realize our own divine nature.
