In the teachings and philosophy associated with Lord Shiva, particularly as found in Hindu scriptures and Shaivism, the concept of rebirth (punarjanma) is central. According to these teachings, the soul (atman) is eternal and takes on different bodies across various lifetimes based on karma (actions performed in previous births).There is no teaching that suggests people are reborn with exactly the same face in their next birth. The body, including the face, is determined by various factors such as karma, the desires and attachments from past lives, and the circumstances of birth. Lord Shiva’s philosophy emphasizes that the physical form is temporary and ever-changing, while the soul remains unchanged.
Therefore, a person can get an altogether different face and body in their next birth. The focus in Shiva’s teachings is on transcending attachment to the physical body and realizing the eternal nature of the soul.
