Namaskara! It is considered very auspicious to donate or offer any amount you receive unexpectedly, especially during sacred occasions like Karthigai Deepam. Lord Shiva teaches us detachment and selfless giving ("tyaga"). You can donate the ₹20 to a Shiva temple, use it to buy oil or lamps (deepam) to light in front of Lord Shiva, or give it as charity to someone in need with devotion and humility.The main principle is to offer it with a pure heart and without attachment, dedicating the act to Lord Shiva. This is in line with the spirit of "Ishwaraarpana" — offering all actions and fruits to Lord Shiva. Om Namah Shivaya!
