The most well-known legend associated with Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga revolves around a devout woman named Kusuma. She was a fervent devotee of Lord Shiva and used to immerse a Shivalinga in a tank every day as part of her worship. Later, in the 18th century, Ahilyabai Holkar, the Queen of Indore, undertook further renovation and expansion of the temple, adding to its grandeur.
