Meaning in English:

Victory to the husband of Girija (Parvati), the compassionate one.
He always takes care of the devotees.

The crescent moon shines beautifully on his forehead.
The ears are adorned with serpents as earrings.

His body is fair, and the river Ganges flows from his head.
He wears a garland of skulls and is smeared with ash.

He is adorned with the tiger skin, looking splendid.
Seeing his divine form, even the sages and serpents are captivated.

He is the beloved daughter of Mother Maina.
He looks marvelous with her on his left side.

The trident in his hand looks powerful,
And he always destroys the enemies.

Nandi and Ganesha sit near him,
Like lotuses in the middle of an ocean.

Kartikeya and Ganesha, his two sons, also appear beautiful,
Words cannot describe their beauty.

Whenever the gods called for help,
You, Lord, removed their distress.

When the demon Tarakasura created havoc,
All the gods pleaded with you.

You sent Kartikeya immediately,
Who destroyed the mighty demon in no time.

You destroyed the demon Jalandhara,
Your fame is known throughout the world.

You fought the demon Tripurasura fiercely,
And with your grace, you saved everyone.

You fulfilled the heavy penance of Bhagiratha,
By bringing down the Ganges and keeping your ancient vow.

When Ravana created trouble, Lord Rama sent you,
You burned Lanka and returned Sita safely.

When Lakshmana was unconscious,
You brought the herb and revived him.

When the demon Banasura created trouble,
You, Lord, saved everyone with your grace.

You even subdued the mighty Kama,
By burning him when he tried to distract you.

You are praised by the Vedas,
But your true nature is beyond words and eternal.

During the churning of the ocean, when a fire emerged,
You, Lord, drank the poison to save the gods and demons.

You absorbed both the nectar and poison within you,
You always bestow happiness to your devotees.

At the end of the Kalpa (world cycle), you are immortal,
The lord of the universe always remembers you.

The mother Narayani always sings your praises,
Your consort Gauri always brings happiness.

In this way, your glory is sung,
You always relieve the distress of the helpless.

Those who praise you,
You always bless them with your grace.

I, Pranav, say victory to the formless Lord Shiva,
Shiva, you are the lord of all the gods.

With the great mantra and thousand names,
You, the refuge of Narayana, are always a source of happiness.

Those who meditate on you always find joy,
Even in the face of worldly troubles.

Hearing your words, Lord,
Your eternal, indescribable, and unknown nature.

Victory, victory, victory to you, Lord Shiva,
You are Brahma, Vishnu, and Sadashiva, all three.

The lord of all three worlds, the avatar,
Victory, victory to the destroyer of Tripura.
