Who rescues from the ocean of worldly suffering in the form of a man,
Whose name is like nectar to those who listen with their ears,
Who adorns the moon on his forehead as an ornament,
Who wears matted hair as white as camphor,

To Shiva, who is greatly loved by Mother Gauri,
Who holds the moon's phases,
Who is the end of Time (Yama),
Who wears the serpent king as an ornament,
Who carries the Ganga on his head,
Who crushes the elephant lord,
