Meaning

O Lord Shiva, I mentally offer you a throne adorned with precious gems, a bath with cold water from sacred rivers, divine clothing, and a variety of ornaments decorated with different gems. I offer you sandalwood paste scented with musk, flowers like jasmine, champaka, and bilva leaves, along with incense and a lamp. O compassionate Lord, please accept this worship made in my heart.

O Lord, I mentally offer you delicious food served in a golden vessel inlaid with nine gems. The offerings include ghee and payasam (a sweet dish made of milk and rice), five types of savory dishes mixed with milk and curd, bananas, a drink made from fruits, a variety of vegetables, and refreshing water scented with camphor. I also offer you betel leaves. Please accept this offering made with devotion in my mind.

O Lord Shambhu, I mentally offer you milk sweetened with sugar, delicious butter, and fresh cooked rice as naivedya (food offering). I also offer you seven types of grains, including barley and wheat, along with various dishes prepared with vegetables, seasoned with salt, and mixed with ghee. These offerings are made with utmost devotion and humility. Please accept them, O Lord, who is pleased by devotion.

O Lord, I mentally offer you an umbrella, a pair of yak-tail fans, a clean mirror, the music of the veena, drum, and other instruments, along with songs and dance performances. I also offer you full prostrations and various forms of praise. All these offerings are made in my mind with deep devotion. Please accept this mental worship, O Lord.

O Lord Shiva, you are my very soul, and Goddess Parvati is my intellect. My vital breaths are your attendants, and this body is your temple. My enjoyment of the senses is your worship, and my sleep is the state of meditation on you. My movements are your circumambulation, and all my words are your hymns of praise. Whatever actions I perform, O Shambhu, they are all an offering of worship to you.
